Gwasanaeth Blwyddyn Chwech / Year 6 Farewell Service

Hoffwn ddiolch o galon i bawb a gyfrannodd tuag at lwyddiant y gwasanaeth arbennig a gawsom yn yr ysgol ddoe. Diolch i’r rhieni hynny a fu’n paratoi’r lluniaeth, rwy’n hynod o ddiolchgar. Dymunaf bob llwyddiant i’r disgyblion hynny fydd yn ein gadael yn awr am yr Uwchradd, a diolch i’r rhieni am eu cefnogaeth.

I wish to thank everyone who contributed towards the success of the service held at the school yesterday. A special thanks goes to the parents who helped with the refreshments, I am very grateful to you all. I wish year 6 all the best at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones, and thank the parents for their support during their time here.

Penodiad Staff Newydd /New Staff Appointments

Yn dilyn cyfweliadau a gafodd eu cynnal yn yr ysgol yr wythnos hon, y mae’n bleser gennyf gyhoeddi ein bod wedi penodi Miss. Lois Evans yn athrawes rhan amser ym mlynyddoedd 5 a 6. Croeso mawr i Miss Evans i’r tîm.

Following interviews at the school on Wednesday, I am pleased to announce that Miss Lois Evans has been appointed as a part time teacher in years 5 and 6 from September onwards. A very warm welcome to you, Miss Evans.

Mrs. Carys Ponsonby

Braf iawn yw cael nodi genedigaeth mab bach, Ynyr, i Mr. a Mrs. Ponsonby. Rydym yn falch iawn o glywed am y newyddion da. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ponsonby on the birth of their baby, Ynyr.We are very pleased with the good news.

Cinio Ysgol / School Meals

O fis Medi ymlaen, bydd cinio ysgol yn codi o £1.75 i £1.80 y dydd, neu £9 yr wythnos. From September onwards, school meals will increase from £1.75 to £1.80 per day, or £9 per school week.

Gwisg Ysgol / School Uniform

Hoffwn atgoffa rhieni o’r gofynion ar gyfer gwisg ysgol. Mae’r cymalau canlynol o’r Llawlyfr Ysgol / I wish to remind parents of the school guidelines regarding school uniform. The following sentences are from the School Handbook:

Mae gan yr ysgol wisg ysgol swyddogol. Er nad oes gorfodaeth ar blant i’w gwisgo teimlwn bod gwisg ysgol yn meithrin balchder tuag at yr ysgol ac ymdeimlad o berthyn iddi, ac felly mawr obeithiwn y bydd y rhieni yn barod i gefnogi gwisg swyddogol yr ysgol.

Crys polo melyn.

Siwmper/crys chwys glas tywyll.

Trowsus tywyll/sgert las tywyll.

The school has an official school uniform. Although there is no compulsion for pupils to wear it, we feel that a school uniform nurtures pride towards the school and the feeling of belonging to it, and therefore we greatly hope that parents will be ready to support the official dress of the school.

INCLEMENT WEATHER ARRANGEMENTS

Yn gyntaf oll, hoffwn ddiolch o galon i chwi am euch cyd-wethrediad wrth i’r ysgol gael ei gorfodi i gau yn ddiweddar. Rwyf yn nodi isod y trefniadau sydd gennym yn eu lle pe gyfyd problem gyffelyb eto.

Firstly I wish to thank parents for their co-operation when the school was forced to close recently due to the severe weather. The following notes outline our arrangements for closing school due to the inclement weather:

Pam cau yr ysgol? Why does the school need to close? Rydym yn asesu’r risg i’r plant ac yn dod i benderfyniad, ar y cyd a Chadeirydd y Llywodraethwyr, i orfod cau’r ysgol. Based on the children’s safety, a descision is made by the Head Teacher and Chair of Governors whether or not to close the school.

Sut a phryd y cawn wybod? How and when will we be informed?

1. Byddwn yn eich hysbysu trwy ein system tecstio, felly mae’n hanfodol fod eich rhifau wedi eu diweddaru ar ein systemau. You will be informed by a text message, therefore it is important that parents inform us of any changes to their mobile numbers.
2. Rhoddir yr wybodaeth ar Heart FM a BBC Radio Cymru. The information is broadcast on Heart FM and BBC Radio Cymru.
3. Bydd neges testun yn eich hysbysu pryd fydd yr ysgol yn ail-agor / a text Message will be sent out to inform you of the school re-opening.

Bydd pob ymdrech yn cael ei gwneud i gadw’r ysgol ar agor. / All efforts will be made to keep the school open as usual.

Neges Nadolig / Christmas Message

A hithau wedi bod yn dymor tu hwnt o brysur a llwyddiannus, hoffwn adrodd ar rai digwyddiadau na chafwyd cyfle i adrodd arnynt yn ddiweddar. Mae pob dosbarth wedi bod yn hynod o brysur yn paratoi tuag at y Sioe Nadolig diweddar, ac fe hoffwn ddiolch o galon i’r plant am eu gwaith caled, ac i’r holl staff am eu paratoi. Diolch hefyd i chwi, y rhieni am eich gwaith a’ch cefnogaeth tuag at lwyddiant y Sioe. Edrychwn ymlaen at gael sioeau tebyg eto yn y dyfodol agos!

What a busy term it’s been with the children busy preparing for the Christmas show. I would like to congratulate the children once more on their excellent performance, and to thank the staff for their hard work with the singing and acting—well done! I wish to thank the parents for their support towards the show and for helping us ensure success! We look forward to preparing for another show in the near future!

Un o’r pethau sydd wedi fy nghalonogi yn fawr y tymor hwn yw cefnogaeth gref y pentrefwyr i holl weithgareddau’r ysgol. Edrychaf ymlaen yn fawr at gael trefnu rhagor o weithgareddau ar y cyd â’r pentref yn ystod y misoedd nesaf.

I wish to thank the villagers for the support shown towards our recent concerts and events. I look forward to arranging similar events in the school during the Spring Term.

Swper Diolchgarwch / Harvest Supper

Diolch i bawb am gefnogi'r noson arbennig yma, a gafodd ei threfnu gan Mrs. Maureen Jones, y Gogyddes. Cafwyd datganiadau cerddorol gan Mr. Corps, Gavin Saynor, Mrs. Ann Marston, Sioned a Bob. Diolch iddynt am eu gwaith ardderchog. Yn ystod y noson cyhoeddwyd fod dros £3000 wedi ei gasglu tuag at y prosiect o greu ystafell astudio gymunedol o fewn yr ysgol. Da iawn pawb!

I wish to thank the local community for supporting the Harvest Supper arranged by the Cook, Mrs. Maureen Jones. During the evening, the guests were entertained by Mr. Corps, Mr. Gavin Saynor, Mrs. Ann Marston, Sioned and Bob. It was announced during the evening that over £3000 had been raised towards school funds - well done everyone!
